Dr. Long’s Education and Experience
Help and Healing Center was excited to welcome Dr. Jaime Long to the team in January 2023!
Jaime Long is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist who has been working in the field for almost 20 years. Her training and work has included children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Long is from the Central Coast of California and received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her masters and PhD degrees from the University of Montana, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Dr. Long’s research focused on online interventions for anxiety and depression as well as the relationship of depression to online social networking. She has a particular interest in online psychological assessment. Dr. Long completed her internship at a public therapeutic day school as part of the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium (ISPIC). Dr. Long completed her postdoctoral training in a public school district and a private therapeutic day school which provided services for students with emotional and behavior challenges and autism. She also worked for five years in a community college assessing adults for learning disabilities, and she has provided therapy to children in a community mental health center in a school.
Dr. Long has provided professional development for mental health professionals on autism assessment across the lifespan. She has experience conducting psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults in private practice for a variety of concerns, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression.
