Dr. Aimee Rovane is a developmental psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist who brings many years of experience providing comprehensive evaluations to adults, adolescents, and children. She specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit/Disorder (ADHD) assessments and neurodiversity affirming evaluations in her clinical work. As a child from a military family herself, Dr. Rovane also enjoys working with veterans and evaluating the mental health impact of military service. She has long been passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves and their unique brain differences, while honoring and validating their real lived experiences and life challenges. She believes that a quality assessment can open doors for better understanding and access to appropriate resources and services to help individuals improve their quality of life.

Experience & Credentials

Dr. Rovane is licensed in California (PSY 35797) and Illinois (PSY 071.021039). She is also certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based treatment for children with behavioral dysregulation. She earned her PhD in School Psychology at the University of South Carolina and completed an APA-accredited internship in Pediatric Clinical Psychology at the Mailman Center at the University of Miami, where she specialized in Autism and Neurodevelopment. Dr. Rovane then completed an APPCN certified postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at St. Alexius Woman and Children’s Hospital in Chicagoland. She has published several peer-reviewed articles related to parenting stress and emotion regulation within families of children with ASD, and she has received multiple research grants and awards.

Dr. Rovane is a newly minted Californian located in Los Angeles, and, as such, she is still learning the best places to catch a great sunset hike or to enjoy a sidesplitting comedy show. She can usually be found hanging out with her fiancé or playing with her puppy, Moonie.
